By keeping these pests away, they will not enter the ducts and cause problems for your health.

  4. Monitor Water Damage. Another thing that you can do is to keep an eye out for leaks and water damage that might be entering the duct work. Mold needs water and damp areas to thrive. If you make sure that you are inspecting your home for water damage and moisture, you can help keep water and subsequently mold out of your ducts.
